Vegetables That Actually Fight Cancer
Certain vegetables and herbs have been shown to help combat cancer. These have gone through legitimate studies.
Herbs and teas have incredible cancer-fighting properties, but I will save those for another day and focus on foods today.
Around two years ago, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I’ve always been healthy. This floored me. You can read about this here.
https://www.singlemomoutwest.com/breast-cancer-stories/
I was the only one in my immediate and extended family on both sides to receive a cancer diagnosis before the age of ninety. I thought of cancer as an “old people’s disease.” Boy, was I in for a shock!
Here’s a disclaimer: I am not a doctor or a health professional. I in no way want to condemn or accuse anyone who is going through this terrible disease. It is heartbreaking.
I want to learn for myself and share what I’ve learned with others. My prayer is that this can help you in your journey.
I’ve written about fighting cancer in a multifaceted way, and you can find that here.

After being diagnosed, I started wondering, “Why me?”
Sure, there’s genetics. And predispositions. I can acknowledge that.
I admit, I’ve had my share of intense stress. But if I’m honest, the other women in my family have also had stress. So, why me?
And without accusing myself or anyone else, I’ve had to admit some things. Unpleasant things.
These are lessons that I’ve learned over the last year and a half, and I would like to share them with you. I will also share a link to the studies or information on YouTube that will help you with your own research.
My prayer is that you will find this information helpful to your own journey.
I’ve learned that food is medicine. And that’s what you bring into your body will have a direct correlation to your health.
These are the foods I have specifically learned to help fight cancer.
I have also learned that eating and consuming these raw or fresh foods is most important.

These vegetables and herbs include the powerhouse properties of garlic, onions, and lemons.
Numerous studies have specifically examined these three foods to investigate their potential in combating cancer.
Study on garlic and onion’s cancer-fighting properties: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC4366009/
The study of the garlic and lemon combination that was proven to fight cancer in mice: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0899900717301260
Looking back at my own family, the women ate raw garlic and onions on a daily basis. While this doesn’t necessarily prove anything, it is interesting that they were never diagnosed with any cancer.
Now, I take a garlic and lemon compound daily, as discussed in that study. You can find more about that in this YouTube video on the Chris Beat Cancer channel:
Here is another video from the Biblical Dietician, featuring a lemon and garlic infusion, along with accompanying instructions.
Reading these studies and watching these videos will increase your knowledge and understanding of how they specifically fight cancer.
Note: I prepare the combination once a week and freeze it in glass jars. Then, I thaw one jar a day, so I am not constantly having to bring out the blender.

The following three foods include pineapple, carrots, and ginger. These have also been found to fight cancer.
The following three foods, which I have started to consume on a daily basis, are pineapple, carrots, and ginger.
I do this by juicing once a week and then placing the juice into glass jars, so I can pull one out of the freezer each day and drink it.
There are times when I don’t have time to make them fresh daily, but I am much more likely to drink them regularly if I prepare them this way.
Regarding pineapples, when I juice, I include the core.
Here is the information regarding pineapple.

Information regarding ginger:

It is also important to note that ginger has anti-inflammatory properties, which are important in fighting cancer.

Include broccoli, cauliflower, spinach, and beans to fight cancer as well.
The last foods I would like to mention here are broccoli, cauliflower, and beans.
Each of these has specific cancer-fighting capabilities.

Many other foods can help fight cancer. Here is a helpful printout with the information from NMSU. https://cancer.nmsu.edu/communityresources/Foods_that_Fight_Cancer_ENG_01.2023.pdf

Fighting cancer is scary. But researching food and herbs that can help is truly an encouraging activity.
Many, many more foods fight against cancer. Please do your own research!
And please also take note that these foods also help you recover from going through cancer and help to prevent cancer recurrence.
Prayers for your journey,
